SAFe suggests the following 8 Steps to Achieve Business Agility.
Key Activities focused in each of the 8 Steps are as below:
- First, the Enterprise should sense that there is an Opportunity that helps to delight its Customers.
- Once the Opportunity is identified, the Enterprise should start funding the Opportunity
- Next, the Agile Team should get organized to deliver Value and start building an MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
- The Agile Team should start connecting with the Customers and incorporate Design Thinking and Empathy into the MVP that they build
- The MVP built should be delivered to the Customers to get their Feedback as faster as possible
- This Step determines further Investment Decision
- If the MVP is accepted by the Customers, the Enterprise can start building the Solution.
- If not, the Enterprise categorizes the efforts into Sunk Cost and start looking for other Opportunities.
- Once the MVP is accepted, the Enterprise deliver Value Continuously to their Customers
- The Agile Team and Enterprise starts Learning and Adapts based on the Learnings. Performance is measured in 3 Domains - Competency, Flow, Outcomes and Improvements are constantly made as part of the Continuous Learning Culture.
